NEPHROLOGY
State-of-the-art Haemodialysis unit and a well established Renal Transplantation Programme are the major highlights of the Nephrology department of Ansar Hospital. The Centre has a well equipped dialysis unit which performs 1200-1500 sessions of haemodialysis every month. Intensive care facilities for the management of the critically ill patients with multi-organ system failure are the other highlights. Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and Slow Efficiency Daily Dialysis (SLEDD) are offered for the management of patients who are critically ill with renal failure. The centre has emerged as one of the most prominent transplant centres in the country where hundreds of Renal Transplants (from both live donor and cadaver donor) are performed every year.
